In short: Tyler and Olivia meet at a wedding & have an instant connection. Olivia refused to consider romance as she’s too busy convincing her parents that’s she’s ready to fun her family farm and events center. Tyler is feeling unsettled in his job as a videographer for a YouTube star and risks everything to follow his heart and find something more fulfilling. For the moment, that means taking a job as a farmhand on Liv’s farm, even if she makes it clear that any flirting is off limits.

*Off limits romance/Close proximity

*Great setting on a mountain farm

*Close family bonds

*Dual POV’s

 

My thoughts: This book was a amazing and everyone should go read it now. That’s all. 😊 In all seriousness though this book captured my heart from the start with the instant connection and witty banter between Tyler and Olivia. . What follows is a story of following your heart & dreams, being honest with family and yourself, taking risks and the most adorable goat named Penelope. I enjoyed it all and need to go read the first few books in the series now.

Conflicting thoughts….

  Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult publishes tomorrow, 11/30/2021.  It’s March 2020 and Diana and her boyfriend Finn are set to take a trip to the Galapagos. Unfortunately Covid has hit the US and Finn, a physician in a NYC hospital, needs to stay and work so Diana goes on the trip alone. Once in the Galapagos though everything is closing due to the virus & she can’t make it home. She is taken in by a local family and begins a journey of self discovery. Or so it seems.  I loved the descriptions of the Galapagos, the story of self discovery & second chances. I was not expecting the twist in the second half of this book and am still not sure how I felt about it.  Personally, it’s still a little too soon to be reading about COVID, especially as we are still in the midst of it. I listened to this book on audiobook and really enjoyed the narration by Marin Ireland. Thank you Penguin Random House Audio for an advanced listener copy of this book through the Volumes app!
